Awards Ceremony - Friday 4th December
As mentioned by Andrew in his last update, I (Susan) will be responsible for updating you with interesting news at Minerva for the next few weeks. Only 3 days to go now until our Annual Awards Ceremony at the Easterbrook Hall. Acceptances have been coming in at a great speed and we now anticipate up to 90 people attending. It’s amazing how much work goes into organising such an event but hopefully all is now in order! Annual Awards Ceremony
Well, we have all survived our Awards Ceremony! The staff at Minerva were all very proud to see our learners presented with their certificates by Russell Brown MP, Alex Fergusson MSP and Claire Lister, Managing Director of the Pitman Training Group. Minerva People has worked with Dave Smith and family over the past five years, and we are proud to continue to deliver Modern Apprenticeships to staff, and watch their continued personal development. ...read more

My first son, Cameron Grant Hunter, arrived safely on St Andrew's Day and I have thoroughly enjoyed the last two weeks looking after him and his mum. Thank you to everyone that has sent us wishes. It is strange being back to work and Susan and Anna have coped extremely well in my absence to ensure that I have not got a mountain of work to go through. My priority now is making sure that everything is in place for a successful start ...read more

Last blog of 2009
The week before Christmas is a good time to take stock of what has happened in the past 12 months and plan for the coming year. 2009 has certainly been a very tough year for most businesses within Dumfries and Galloway due to the dire state that our economy is in. Individuals have also been faced with redundancies and a severe lack of jobs, although we are definitely beginning to see more jobs becoming available. Everyone at Minerva has enjoyed helping many people this year to develop their skills, find jobs and improve their business. Lets hope that a new ...read more
