Learndirect Scotland Learning Champions
Minerva was delighted to have three of its learners nominated as champions at Learndirect Scotland’s Celebration of Learning in Glasgow this year and one – Lina selected as a Scottish finalist in the category for ‘Career Changer of the Year’.
The annual event showcases the experiences of people from all over Scotland who have changed their lives through learning. Lina, Cheryl and Catherine all undertook a variety of learning programmes and this has helped them move forward in their chosen careers.
Danny Logue – Director of Skills from Learndirect Scotland who presented the awards said “I was delighted to welcome some members of the team and learners from Minerva People to our Celebration of Learning event. Like many of the people who attended, the learners have overcome many personal barriers and worked hard to develop new skills. We are sure that Cheryl, Lina and Catherine will inspire others to discover the many benefits learning provides and helps them get the skills they need to build a better future.”
All learners are encouraged and supported at Minerva by a very dedicated and motivational team of staff. Learners are given a great deal of one-to-one guidance either at the training centre or the learner’s workplace. Learning can commence at any time of the year, delivered in a flexible way and at a pace that suits the learners’ needs. All this helps people to achieve, cope with change and move forward in their life.
