Skillseekers

Minerva delivers the Skillseekers training programme in Dumfries and Galloway.  This programme is a government funded work experience scheme for young people aged 16 - 19 which allows them to gain training at work whilst achieving a qualification.

The vocational qualifications gained are NVQs or SVQs which are highly regarded by employers in Dumfries and Galloway.  Vocational qualifications show that you have the job related skills required to perform in the workplace.

All potential skillseekers are interviewed by Minerva and put forward for work placements at local businesses in Dumfries and Galloway.

Minerva is always looking for young people who are keen to learn "on the job" and companies who want to have a Skillseeker placed with them.

Minerva currently offers the following qualification to Skillseekers:

 

SVQ Level 2 in Children's Care, Learning and Development
